The weekend of May 23rd-25th we spent time in Saint Louis, Missouri for Drew and Shanna's wedding. Saturday was the long drive to Saint Louis with Crow and Erica. Once we reached STL we had to make a quick change in the car before we went to rehearsal at the Missouri Botanical Gardens, which are so beautiful! Then we enjoyed an awesome homemade dinner at the Hawken House with friends and family of the bride and groom after.
Sunday was the day of the wedding. We had the pleasure of staying with Erica's parents Saturday night and then waking to a delicious breakfast casserole, biscuits, and fruit. We watched the beginning of the race as we enjoyed our breakfast. We then headed to the hotel to check in and get ready. Before the ceremony, we were all going to party on a limo bus while the wedding party took pictures all around Saint Louis. That was a very interesting experience;) Then it was time to make it official. Unfortunately for us and the happy couple, it decided to rain a bit during their outdoor ceremony, but that did not stop anything from happening.
Right after the ceremony a reception was held in the main building of the Botanical Gardens. We enjoyed appetizers, drinks, and danced the night away! What a great time to see everyone! Monday morning we attended a brunch at a neat place called Wildflower. I would drive there just to eat the food again....unforgettable. Then it was back to Indy and back to work!
