Indianapolis Home Show

The same Sunday as the Super Bowl, Whitney and I decided to attend the Indianapolis Home Show.  We wanted to see the up and coming ideas for home improvement and also look into building a deck.  It was really nice to spend some time together and check things out!  I can't wait until the sun comes out and warms everything up.  I also can't wait to have trees in the backyard and a nice deck to enjoy the summer on together:)

Here are some pictures I took in the model home and neat kitchens that we saw.
Ginormous Refrigerator....it was so heavy but a surprise when you open what looks like cabinet doors!

COLTS COLTS COLTS

So in the midst of the cold winter weather we have in Indiana, the Colts managed to make it through the playoffs to the Super Bowl in Miami. While we all know the end result is not what we wanted I am still happy to say we had a blast watching all the games and cheering them on!  The first playoff game Whitney and I watched from the comfort of our comfy chairs as the Colts took on the Baltimore Ravens.  The following weekend my parents were in town Saturday and Sunday, so we got to enjoy cheering on the Colts versus the Jets with them.  I even got to witness my brother wearing his Peyton Manning jersey (my parents bought him this forever ago)...I do support the Steelers when they are not playing the Colts:)

Once we knew the Colts were headed to Miami we were excited to join some friends down in Broad Ripple for the big game.  The Friday before the game, BLUE Friday, IPS decided to dismiss our school dress code.  The students and staff all wore jeans and blue to support the team.  Let me say this was the coolest day since uniforms were implemented!  I really enjoyed seeing my students in street clothes and they did a really nice job.  The energy in the building seemed so positive:)  Take a look at some of my students supporting the Colts!

The game was so much fun to watch and enjoy tasty food and adult beverages with friends.  I wish the outcome would have been a "W" for Indianapolis.  I did not capture to many photos because we were super bummed.  I did get a few of Mark and Lindsay's cute doggie McLovin:)  Congrats to New Orleans...a great story for a city that needs it:)

It's Showering Babies

Whitney and I have survived that time in your life as couple where your friends all seemed to get married in the same 2-3 year period of time (we still have a few to go).  We are currently experiencing the "Baby Phase"....I can't even tell you how many people that we know having babies right now.  It must be in the water everywhere.  I am pretty sure if I sat down and wrote it all out we have at least one set of close friends having a baby every month.  This does not even count the friends we know that we are not in contact with as much.
To start 2010, Whitney's friend at work Brett & his wife Mary welcomed Baby Malia.  She was born on January 1st. Also, our good friends Greg & Kelly welcomed their first baby boy, Evan Gregory on January 21st.  We can't wait to make a trip to St. Louis to meet the cute little guy:)  CONGRATS CISSELL'S!!!

This past weekend we were invited to a couple's baby shower honoring a teacher & friend I used to work with Laura and her husband Matt.  We can't wait to meet Baby Mitchell in about 6 more weeks! Laura you look fantastic..keep it up girl:)  It was great to get together and visit with so many of my friends from work and see all the little ones.

I was also invited to a "Babies Shower" for our friends Lauren & Chris Kay this past weekend.  Lauren Chris, & their son Josh are expecting TWIN GIRLS in about 8 weeks!  It was crazy seeing Lauren with her twin prego belly since we have not seen them since they first found out they were pregnant.  You look amazing Lauren....so cute!!!  Let me tell you these girls are going to be the best dressed around the city...TONS of clothes!  We also can't wait to meet  Baby Harper &  Baby Sloane....keep em' cooking Lauren...8 more weeks...you can do it:)
Also, our friends we met on our honeymoon are expecting a little girl, Harper Reece, in February.  Congrats Carrie & Anthony!  We still want to come visit Florida and an added bonus to meet little Harper:)
