I have Spring Break from school from March 20th through April 11th!!! 3 Full Weeks!! That is the first great thing about Spring coming. The next great thing about spring is cleaning up outside and inside the house after the winter months are over! By combining my spring break with spring cleaning, you also get spring remodeling and home improvements:) I love all these things!
Whitney has a theory that if I have projects to do then his 3 weeks of work while I am off will go much smoother. I will be busy and not calling him at work wishing he was home with me and how being off for three weeks can sometimes get boring. I LOVE the time off and I am sure everyone would kill for it, but I need to keep busy! That is just me. So as I started my break I had a few plans of my own and so did Whitney.
Plan #1: Change out all the dome light fixtures in our hallway and closets.
Plan #2: Paint the upstairs hallway to match the family room. Thanks to my brother and dad helping while they visited for 2 days last week!
Now the rest of the changes you are about to see were not really planned. Since we replaced the dome light fixtures, I figured why not replace the half bath fixture and the guest bath fixture. Then all the lightening would be complete! This turned into looking at new wall cabinets at Lowes (our favorite store) and then became plan #3 & #4...
Plan #3 & #4: Replace bathroom fixtures & remodel the half bathroom downstairs.
Plan #5: After all this painting, I also decided that our white trim in the hallway and bathroom needed a fresh coat of paint only to realize that it really needed it EVERYWHERE!! Good thing I have 3 weeks off because I am going room by room and making the trim fresh, white, and pretty:) Hey, it is keeping me busy!
Special THANK YOU!!! To my wonderful husband for doing the electrical work on all the lights and the plumbing to put in the new sink and faucet! GREAT JOB WHIT:) LOVE YOU...I knew you could do it.

He's back in action!
Whitney decided this past winter to get back on the basketball court. He plays every Wednesday and Sunday in a mens league at The Fieldhouse in Fishers and I go to watch all the action:) Here are some pictures from his Wednesday night league tournement that just so happen to fall on St. Patrick's Day.

Leaky Water
So Whitney and I have been receiving some unusually high water bills these past two months and finally decided it was not us but something had to be wrong. Come to find out, both our upstairs toilets were leaking and running very quietly all day and night!!! NOT GOOD! So we called a plumber for an estimate and to see what the problem was for sure. A nice guy came and checked out everything and then said he would quote us 189.99 for the 1st toilet and try to get us a discount on the 2nd!!!! YIKES....Whitney asked for my input and I stated, "we might as well buy new toilets for that price!" So with a little research and two trips to our favorite store Lowes.....Whitney became the plumber:) Here are some pictures of completely redoing the inside of our two upstairs toilets and also adding new hardware for under $100!!!! Always worth trying things yourself:) Next up, going to do the same downstairs to avoid anymore high bills.
Our "Boo Boo" Turns Two
Well, Lacy officially turned the terrible two on February 13th! We celebrated with a special trip to Three Dog Bakery in Hamilton Town Center with Mommy, Daddy, and Lacy! She was so well behaved...it was great to get out and buy some cute dog toys and treats for both dogs. Lacy picked out a red velvet birthday cupcake and also bought one for her sister Lucy to be nice. She also picked out a few gourmet cookies to share. See them in action with their cupcakes below after we sang Happy Birthday, of course!
Lacy also received a treat dispenser present. You fill the saucer up with bite size dogs treats. It keeps them entertained and they have to work for the treat. It rolls around from side to side letting loose treats once they paw it in the right direction. We had to take turns with this new toy because Lucy and Lacy loved it so much!
